1. What should I
wear? A general rule is medium to dark tones is muted colors -
green, tan, rust, brown, purple, and dark reds are BEST! Light and
bright clothing is fashionable in high key photography. AVOID
PLAIDS, STRIPES, and PRINTS - they distract from your face.
2. What About Glasses? We recommend wearing lenses frames - they will help
make your portrait more flattering. Lenseless frames eliminate
reflections and distortion of the eyes and of the side of the face.
Ask your Optometrist to loan you a pair of frames like your own.
Contact lenses present no problem.
3. Braces? The best way around this problem is for you to be
photographed later when you are not wearing braces. You may have
several poses taken now for the yearbook, if you choose, and return
later for your full compliment of poses.
4. Hair? We suggest soft, well groomed hairstyles to which
you are accustomed. DON'T TRY A NEW HAIR STYLE OF HAVE YOU HAIR CUT
JUST BEFORE YOUR SESSION!
5. Hands? Casual portraiture is becoming popular among
Seniors. Your hands should make a clean appearance if they show in
some of these poses. If you would like your favorite ring to be
emphasized, just mention it to the photographers!
6. Retouching? Retouching will remove blemishes and soften
lines, but a touch of makeup in the right places really helps. (You
too Guys! - Remember, make up is used in the TV industry everyday!)
The only rule is, DON'T OVERDO! Guys you should shave within two
hours prior to your appointment. Retouching will not remove stray
hair, braces, glare from glasses, or sunburn.
7. What Is The Session Fee? The Session Fee is a
non-deductible cost for Studio time and materials. It includes a
pose of your choice, retouched and printed in black and white, or in
color, for your yearbook. Session Fee and Deposit are payable at the
time of your session. You may have your proofs mailed to you by
paying $4.00 additional.
8. What Is The Deposit? A $75.00 Deposit, which will be
applied to your Final Order, is required if you take your proofs
home, or if you have them mailed.
9. How Long Do The Proofs Take? The proofs take about 2
weeks.
10. Do I Get To Keep The Proofs? Proofs are the property of
VENDITTI STUDIO and MUST be returned! They are on loan to you only
to aid you in making your selection of finished portraits. However,
they are included in some of the packages, or they are available if
you would like to purchase them.
